The Fifth Amendment states and elaborates the rights of accused persons. There are several different rights in this amendment, but we will be focusing on only one: the right of not being placed in double jeopardy. This means that if a person convicted of a crime is found not-guilty, he cannot be placed on trial again for the same crime.
